The Problem with Old Xrays:
HIGH RADIATION LEVELS: Old fashioned xrays require the use of special photographic film, like a camera. The xray energy has to be turned up to expose the film, so the patient is exposed to higher levels of radiation! SMALL FILMS: The actual xray film is about the size of a quarter. It is very small and very hard to accurately read. ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERNS: Old, film-based xray systems use processors, toxic chemicals and photo waste products which are not environmentally friendly.
